I’m back home in the D.R. I’m now safe…

The Dominican Republic has been batting a thousand lately. Why should Chicago have all the fun when the ole ‘DR’ is well fit to provide a culture of death? The recent shootings, poisonings, and driving off a cliff while headed to the airport could have been avoided had there been an ounce of discernment. The treatment of Haitians alone should of made the DR persona non grata! There comes a time when people with self respect have to ‘shake the dust off their feet,’ that very phrase coming from Yeshua The Messiah Himself. Why is that so hard for folk to comprehend?

The evil in the DR is well documented.  Recent putrid history was heralded before the dead tourists made news. Perhaps my people are distracted by sports or the traps they’re shacked up with? There’s no excuse in 2019 to not have a clue.

When you’re greeted with a taser to the face in a Walgreen’s parking lot, common sense will tell you that you’re not wanted there and that you should never go back. When death and mayhem by themselves are common on the perimeter that should be a sign to at least someone!

Since the 90’s I’ve probably been to McDs no more than 10 times. It wasn’t by choice to even go at all. When the food and the customer service are both garbage, you don’t have to tell me twice. I washed my hands a long time ago.

Last night with it being Friday my elderly dad needed a fish sandwich because he’s old school like that. To honor (placate) my dad I stopped at McDs and got him his meal. Going to McDs is so outside my conscious, that I’m at a point where I’m embarrassed to even show my face there or any other corporate toxic hellhole. My reasoning is that the workers in these places are counting me as foolish for buying their trash. My sentiment was confirmed when the drive-thru worker smirked when I handed him my card for the sandwich-no-combo. But to honor my old man I had to concede to his Friday fish fix.

When it comes to my own household, McDs, the DR, and like, we’ll never patronize! I’ve chosen to pay more money elsewhere or drive an extra 10 miles and bless good people who’ve earned it (grace).

On the day I wrote about homicide in the nightclub, I had no idea 5000 miles away, David Ortiz would be the victim of evil that very night. They tried to ‘rub him out’ in his own country, the place where he’s allegedly beloved. They hate Haitians in his country, but the DR is home (lakay) for the brother Ortiz. Nuff said.
